Who Needs A Spare Set Of Burners?
We received an email from Jillian Weeks of Crystal Lake, IL asking about the burners on her stove. Jillian wrote "Is there anything that can be done with my stove burners? they are so filthy. They seem to get this way after only a few uses and are next to impossible to clean. I keep my home very clean and every time I have company I dread them going into my kitchen in fear they will see my god awful stove, which is rather nice if it wasn't for the burners. Am I the only one with this issue? Please help! Thanks!"

Well Jillian, your not alone. We have been asked this before and the answers is quit simply, you are not the only one. The fact is, the burners on our stoves really aren't built to clean easy. They are built to withstand high heat and withstand the abuse of constantly being used.

So here's what you do. Buy a spare set. That's right, a spare set. They're cheap! Really. Keep a set for company, and a set to cook on. The pans are replaceable on both electric and gas ranges for about $5.00-$15.00 a piece. The platforms on gas stoves are about $10.00 to $20.00 a piece (possibly a bit more on higher end units, check eBay). And burners on electric units run $10.00 to $20.00 though these typically do not have to be changed even for aesthetics.

Every staff member here keeps a spare set for just this reason. We clean professionally and know just how difficult, if not impossible, cleaning the pans and platforms can be. So don't feel so bad, your not alone.

We hope this helps and Happy Holiday's!
