Q. Why should I choose your company over a competitor?
- We do not schedule any more than three to four houses per day per team EVER!!! (Our competitors clean as many as 6 houses per day with a team of 2!!)
- We do not use temps! Every employee has been trained and we have performed a background check and drug test on each employee
- The individual or the team leader has been with our company for 1 to 3 years!!
- We have one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry! We do not motivate our employees to rush through your house by paying percentage pay. We pay them an hourly rate!
- Employees earn vacation based on your feedback on the customer comment cards!
Q. Are you a member of any organizations?
- We belong to the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International…this organization is working to set standards for house cleaning. The meetings are associated with the ISSA conventions, which showcase the latest innovations in cleanings products and equipment. We are very involved in this organization. We are also registered and in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.

Q. Will the same team come each visit?
- We try to send the same individual or team to your home every time. On occasion, due to customer rescheduling or employee days off, we do send a substitute. However, the quality of your cleaning should not be affected.
Q. How many people will clean my home?
- We operate in teams of 1 to 3 depending on the size of the home. One employee is a team leader. We are proud of the fact that our team leaders have been with Maid Right for one to three years!
Q. Should I tip my house cleaner?
- Tipping is always appreciated by our house cleaners. About 80% of our customers tip our girls. Tipping is an easy way to ensure your house cleaner goes the extra mile for you. The average bi-weekly customer tips $10 per visit, however use your own discretion when deciding how much to tip. Any sign of gratification for a job well done will be greatly appreciated!
Q. What cleaning products are used in my home and who provides them?
- We bring everything so you don't have to worry about what supplies you have on hand. We think we have the best cleaning products in the industry from 3 major manufacturers including Proctor & Gamble, trusted Clean, and Brulin. Our employees are thoroughly trained on correctly cleaning your home with the proper cleaning equipment and products.
- Our employees also use state of the art vacuum equipment, each equipped with Hepa filtration and our bags are coated with a anti-microbial agent to ensure the best air quality after we're through cleaning your home.
Q. Do I have to be home while you clean?
- Most of our customers are not home when we are there. Work and the personal time we free up are the two most apparent reasons. It is preferred by our staff that the house is free of people and that pets are put away for efficiency purposes. However, we love to meet our customers and welcome you to be there on occasion. Maid Right reserves the right to alter pricing based on time increases due to customer presence while our crews are working.
Q. How should I let my team in?
- Any method works for us…garage door code, home when we arrive, front door unlocked, key under mat or a key kept locked at our office. We handle all keys with extreme care!
Q. If there is a problem with my cleaning, what should I do?
- Please don't re-clean the area yourself…that's what you paid us for! Call us immediately and we will schedule a team to come by and correct the problem…at no charge, of course. If the problem is minor and you just want us to make a note in your file, please call, note the problem on your comment card, leave a note for your team or email us! We love your feedback and consider it a gift!
Q. How do I reschedule or skip a cleaning?
- Please call the office or email us. We will be happy to try to accommodate your needs. Please give us at least 24-hour notice unless someone in the home is ill. Late cancellations may incur a $10 skip charge.
Q. Tell me about your in-home estimates?
- We schedule a day or evening time to visit your home. Our estimates include a quick walk through, a review of what tasks we perform each visit and we leave you with pricing information. This process takes approximately 15 minutes! We love meeting our future customers face to face. There is no charge and no obligation for this service.
Q. Do you clean homes just once or do you have to clean long-term?
- We are looking for customers who want their home cleaned on a regular basis. We have weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly clients. We rarely have room in our schedule to clean just once unless you notify us 1-2 weeks in advance.
Q. Do you offer gift certificates?
- Yes, gift certificates are offered. We offer a custom gift certificate that is sent to the recipient and you can add your own special message to the included card. There are a few conditions that apply to all gift certificates ordered:
- Gift certificates are valid for 180 days from the purchase date.
- Gift certificates are non-refundable for any reason.
- Gift certificates are not eligible for our service guarantee.
- Certain blackout periods apply during holidays, please call for specifics.
Q. How do I pay?
- Write us a check each visit…or you may leave cash. You may also setup monthly re-occurring billing via check or credit card. If you prefer to pay weekly we will look for your check at the time of cleaning on the kitchen table! If you forget to pay one visit, please mail your payment to 2303 Randall Rd. #133 Carpentersville, IL 60110. If we have not received payment by the following visit, we will require payment for both cleanings before servicing your home. We would like to note that obtaining payment has never been a problem.
- Just a note for those interested in using a credit card for payment. We accept credit cards for scheduled service and your total due is charged monthly. We do not accept credit cards or numbers left for payment at the time of visit. Please call our office to set up monthly billing. There is a 3% charge for credit card transactions.
